The Warm Company has been producing premium batting and interfacing products for quilters and crafters for decades. Linda’s Warm Company Batting collection features their beloved Warm and Natural, Warm and White, and Warm and Plush battings — all crafted to deliver exceptional loft, durability, and natural warmth.
What is Warm and Natural batting made from?
Warm and Natural is made from 100% natural cotton fibers that are needle-punched (not bonded) for strength and stability. It’s scoured to remove natural cotton impurities, making it soft, breathable, and wonderful for hand or machine quilting.
Does Warm Company batting need to be pre-washed?
Pre-washing is optional. If you love that slightly puckered, vintage quilt look, skip the wash — the cotton will shrink slightly after the first wash for a cozy, antique effect. For a flatter finish, pre-wash before use.
What is the difference between Warm and Natural and Warm and White?
Warm and Natural has a natural cotton color (slightly off-white or tan), while Warm and White is a bleached white — better for light-colored or white fabric quilt tops where the batting might show through.
Is Warm Company batting good for hand quilting?
Yes! Warm and Natural is a favorite among hand quilters because its needle-punched construction allows a needle to pass through smoothly without the stiffness of bonded battings.
